Job Description
The Role
An opportunity to play an integral part, both on an individual basis and within a team, of a dynamic and quickly expanding department. You will help achieve business goals for sales growth of our broker-to-broker business by taking responsibility for growing a new and existing client base on a high level consultative basis. This will include researching, identifying and creating business-to-business opportunities for a designated location or number of locations.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for researching, identifying and creating banker and broker relationships and sales opportunities within a designated client region
- Responsible for managing your own region(s), using initiative/established contacts to identify potential leads
- Analyse and understand USPs and those of our competitors in order to maximize our position in the marketplace
- Identify clients' requirements and offer relevant bespoke IT based, trading platform solutions, for example white-labelling and API solutions
- Develop all sales opportunities, offering a range of potential products to clients, for example CFDs, margined foreign exchange and spread betting
- Negotiate and produce commercially beneficial business for and on behalf of the company
- Identify and assess sales/marketing initiatives to assist in achieving personal and overall business targets, meet personal KPIs/targets and add value to team success
- Negotiate and prepare client contracts/terms of business, liaising with in-house legal counsel and dealing teams where appropriate
- Understand and adhere to compliance guidelines; research, understand and adhere to specific local regulatory requirements for your region(s)
- Collate and review client corporate documentation for Compliance assessment and sign-off
- Regularly communicate with Account Management team to request/analyse client feedback. Make improvements where appropriate to improve client satisfaction with respect to platform performance, bespoke solutions, etc
- Regularly suggest improvements to departmental process and procedure
- Prepare weekly and monthly Management Information to include call reports, contact reports, and business opportunities reports for your region(s)
- Responsible for own diary management, travel and expenditure budgets
- Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, participate in appropriate training and encourage/support staff in their development
- Ensure a positive approach to challenge and provide open and honest feedback
- In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the department and as well as maintaining constructive relationships
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality
- Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.

Essential
- Proven sales track record in a financial sales environment
- Able to talk confidently about current/past targets and performance to target
- Confident verbal and written communicator in both English and relevant regional language, with ability to liaise effectively at all levels
- Self-motivated and driven; able to act on own initiative
- Strong team player; able to assist, support and develop colleagues
- Professional approach and presentable appearance at all times
- Proven Business Development/Account Management experience with a strong focus on client service
Desirable
- Financial markets experience; knowledge and understanding of CFDs, foreign exchange, spread betting, dealing stocks and shares
- Analytical abilities to collate and report relevant facts and figures
- Knowledge of, and a strong network in, specific industry segment and region
