Job Description

The IGH IT Advisory group require an experienced Information & Security Risk Management specialist with a good understanding of the public sector, and who is looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic and friendly team. The work will primarily involve client side advisory work in the public sector, with the potential to work on projects across a wide range of public sector clients. Broader IT advisory work will also be a part of the role.

The role will be client focused and involve the supervision and, as necessary, performance, of IT security, IT risk management and IT audit reviews as well as providing IT advisory services to both public and private sector clients.

The work will cover a broad range of IT control concepts, but will however focus on IT security engagements covering both technical and risk management reviews.


Responsibilities

The role will involve responsibility for completing all aspects of the work including engagement management, planning, supervision and coaching of junior staff, transfer of technical knowledge, report writing and communication with clients and senior client management.

The key responsibilities for this role are focused on the delivery of Security & Risk Management related services to clients in the public sector. Specifically:

Delivery of services to clients and management of delivery teams
To grow the Security & Risk Management Advisory capability within our team
Liaising with colleagues in other practice areas;
To support the development of new business and to broaden range of services provided to existing government clients;
Identify sales opportunities and actively participate in the internal and external business development process;
Develop staff within the team through regular coaching and feedback.
Previous professional services experience would be useful but is not essential. However, the aptitude, drive and ambition to succeed in this environment are essential.


Successful candidates will have:


Candidates must be UK Security cleared due to the nature of our clients (essential)
Solid experience managing/administering a sizable network within an organisation (essential)
Detailed knowledge & experience of server operating systems: (Windows NT, 2000 and 2003 and UNIX) (essential)
Detailed knowledge & experience of modern networking and IP (essential)
Experience of Central Government (highly desirable)
Experience of Critical National Infrastructure (highly desirable)
Experience of installing, configuring and implementing the key components of security architectures such as routers, firewalls, intrusion detection, content management, content filtering and anti-virus technologies (essential)
Relevant technical certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCDP (desirable) and security qualifications such as CISSP, CISA etc (highly desirable)
CLAS Consultants (highly desirable)
