Job Description
An Operational Risk Relationship Manager VP is required for one of the world's forerunning investment banks. The role is based in London.
You will become an integral part of the group operational risk management function, that designs, establishes, maintains and updates the operational risk framework, including:
- Principles and other policies and procedures related to the management of operational risk;
- Quantification methodologies;
- Operational Risk Limits, excesses and related processes;
- Operational Risk Management Information Framework;
As a member of the relationship management team you will support the senior relationship managers and have a primary relationship manager role for a control/support function within the bank. By supporting the senior relationship managers you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a number of business divisions (i.e. Front office areas) through regular and project based activities.
Your key responsibilities will focus on reviewing the risk sensitivity of the key risk indicators being utilises across the business divisions, and reviewing the risk sensitivity of the self assessments being completed across business divisions. You will also perform preparation and validation of the key risk indicators.
The role demands a good understanding of operational risk management techniques, as well as strong project and programme management, and exposure to financial institutions (in particular corporate finance).
