Job Description
An Operational Risk VP is required for a prestigious international investment bank. The role is based in London.
The purpose of the role is the development and implementation of an operational risk management framework within the bank leading to better management insight in the operational risks, improved operational controls and an operational risk profile which fits the risk appetite of the UK region.
Key activities will focus on raising operational risk awareness (e.g. control self-assessments, training). You will be creating better insight into the high costs of operational risk (e.g. incidents data collection & reporting), allowing prevention and/or early detection of future incidents. You will also be allocating risk ownership and responsibilities.
Experience/knowledge detailed knowledge of: operational risk management; investment banking trading activities; SOx; and the UK regulatory environment is required. You will be a clear communicator, who is organised and able to think quickly.
