Job Description
A top European investment bank is currently looking for a credit risk manager to join their front office based economic capital team. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising and implementing and managing of Economic Capital Risk team. This role will cover both equity and fixed income trading desks, and candidates will take a proactive role working with traders to ensure continued positive profit and loss. Key aspects of this role include:
Assessing desk performance as a return on economic capital
Build economic capital allocation strategy between desks / business units
Report to desk heads and senior risk management on new business initiatives and impact upon economic capital strategy
Provide key input into discussions on group risk appetite
Candidates for credit risk manager position should be educated to MSc level, or equivalent, in a quantitative or finance related discipline. It is likely that candidates will currently be working in a investment bank in a credit risk / economic capital role, and be looking to move to a more revenue generating and commercially based role. Our client is looking for a senior figure, as well as VP / AVP and associate or analyst level candidates to build this trading floor based team. Candidates with experience of Pillar 2/ICAAP calculations and discussions with FSA would be highly desirable.
