We are seeking a risk manager for the market risk fixed income structured products area (exotic interest rates, credit and hybrid trades).

Duties include:

• The oversight of the production of risk reports for the structured products area.
• Understanding the complex risks inherent in exotic structures.
• Creating and monitoring risk limits.
• Understanding the markets that drive the risks and valuations of the exotic portfolios.
• Explaining VaR and stress moves affecting the structured products books.
• Mentoring and training junior members of the market risk structured products team.
• Development and enhancement of risk measures and methodologies for non-standard risks.
• Assessment of new business initiatives and adjustment of the risk control framework to new risks.
• The approval of complex trades.
• Recommendations to senior management regarding strategic business initiatives.
• Building portfolio stress framework for structured products.

You will have direct experience in the market risk area of an investment bank market with many of those years in an interest rate environment. Ideally, structured interest rates.

• Good communication and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and without supervision are essential.
• Good excel skills are required and skills in VBA and Access are an advantage.
