Job Description
A leading building society is looking to recruit a branch based customer advisor / mortgage advisor in the Selby area.
You will:
Carry out face to face mortgage and insurance interviews
Provide a first class service to all customers and achieve all targets and objectives set
Generate and follow through sales opportunities, face-to-face and by telephone, so that personal and team targets are met
Welcome, help and advise customers in order to build customer loyalty and maximize sales opportunities
Support and, as appropriate, train team colleagues so that good team spirit is maintained and branch targets are met
Suggest and follow through ideas to improve systems, public image and appearance of the Branch
Keep up-to-date with the latest products and market developments so that accurate and useful information is given to customers.
Look for opportunities to take on responsibilities and undertake training over an above the standard required.
Perform all cash and banking transactions promptly and accurately and in accordance with the Societys Security Policy in order to build customer loyalty and maximize sales.
Arrange introductions to the financial advisers
Comply with data/computer security at all times
Skills
Full CeMAP
Maths and English to GCSE Level (A-C) or equivalent.
Branch/sales environment experience (preferable but not essential)
Excellent sales skills coupled with an eye for detail
Excellent communication skills.
Good keyboard and telephone skills.
Can demonstrate experience of dealing with customers in a retail/sales environment with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and the desire to work in a target-orientated company
A team worker who sees themselves as an innovative problem solver/solution provider.
Someone who is able to absorb new information quickly and accurately within an ever changing environment.
Must be accurate, numerate and computer literate
