Job Description
THE ROLE
Service and sales help and advice to customers
Build relations and identify areas to meet customer needs achieve 100% of our customers lifetime financial services needs
Selling within Non-Regulated Environment e.g. personal lending, credit cards, added value accounts, general insurance plus new accounts, savings and referrals in regulated, mortgage and Business Banking partnerships
No Hard Sell attitude needs based selling
A strong desire and passion to exceed targets and objectives
Targets to be achieved with the sale of products to your customers
Provide an excellent customer service
Expectancy of 30 customer meetings per week, a significant proportion of which will be personal lending, and 15 of which must be self generated from your customer base. Additional leads will also be generated from your colleagues on the front line.
Telecare identifying and approaching customers by phone to secure appointments
Working alongside and engaging colleagues e.g. customer assistants and account openers with quality referrals
Focusing activities on the right customer opportunity by ensuring that full and effective use is made of the Banks lead generation systems
Targeted in following key areas:
- Personal Lending
- Savings account and attraction of new money to bank
- Generating leads /appointments for the specialist sellers i.e. Mortgage Specialists / Financial Advisors
- Attraction of new customer accounts
- General Insurance
- Added Value Accounts
- Credit Cards
- Internet and Phone Bank
- Participation expected in daily and weekly team meetings to improve team results
- Planning your own strategy for achievement of targets
- Keeping knowledge of Bank products and competitor activity up to date
- Undertaking regular tests and observation during customer interviews to ensure knowledge and compliance with regulations is maintained
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED
Preferably a background in the Retail Banking Industry
Ability to work to targets
Experience in selling a wide range of products
Interpersonal skills such as relationship building with customers and engaging colleagues in support of team targets
Working with colleagues to improve their lead generation abilities
Self motivation
REWARD & BENEFITS PACKAGE
- Basic Salary from £15,696 £22,200 based on level of experience and current proven earnings with unlimited individual bonus opportunity
- Flexible Benefits currently 4% of basic salary + Free Shares (3% of basic salary in 2007) + Partnership Shares (Buy one get one free)
- Company Pension Scheme (calculated on basic salary) - A personal pension scheme with matched contributions from the Bank up to certain limits is available to established staff from age 25. It is possible to join before age 25 subject to certain conditions.
- Flexible 35 hour working week, including Saturdays (although sometimes you will be expected to work additional hours to fulfil your role)
- 22 days Holiday (increasing to 27 days with length of service) + 8 Statutory Bank Holidays Available in Great Yarmouth, Norwich & Bury St Edmunds
