London Scottish Bank is a specialist financial services company, we have been established for over a century. Over 2000 staff provided services to the public and private sectors, as well as the consumer, through a nation-wide network of 100 branches, a Debt Recovery Call Centre and Head Office based in Manchester.
The Department
Robinson Way Collections is the Debt Collection division of London Scottish Bank. We currently collect debt on behalf of 200 clients ranging from High Street Banks, Utility Companies, Mobile Phone Companies and many more...... we're always on the lookout for highly motivated people who can add to our already successful and friendly teams.
The Vacancy
As a Telephone Collector, you will talk directly to customers taking inbound and making outbound calls. You will negotiate outstanding payments and reach repayment agreements on their debts and also deal with any queries and disputes they may have. Once you have negotiated an arrangement with the customer you will update our in-house system and action the customers account accordingly.
Robinson Way Call Centre is situated in a new office on a small business park close to Salford Quays.
The Hours
Monday to Friday on weekly shift rota basis.
Early: 8.00am to 2.00pm including Saturday 9.00am to 2.00pm,
Normal: 8.00am to 4.00pm or 9.00am to 5.00pm,
Late: 2.00pm to 8.30pm.
Robinson Way is a target focused environment and you will be required to work towards a monthly collections target, you will be given on-going support and training but we do expect you to be self-motivated and enjoy working towards a more than achievable target.
The Training
Classroom training is for 2 weeks full time from 9.00am until 5.00pm Mon to Fri then you would commence part time hours.
On joining Robinson Way you'll be given a six month probationary period to achieve the requirements of the position. You will be supported every step of the way, initially by the Robinson Way Training Team which will take you through your induction training and then by our team of friendly and experienced Team Managers who will coach you and give you advice on how to achieve your potential. In return we expect your commitment to the role.
The Requirements
Call Centre experience is essential along with good keyboard skills and you will need to be a natural in terms of talking and listening to people to empathise with a variety of customers. You must be determined and target-focused with the ability to think on your feet and be able to adapt to different situations and talk to people at length, devising realistic solutions to real problems.
Salary & Bonus
Basic salary ranges from £13,750 up to £20,000 depending on experience. In addition you will participate in the monthly UNCAPPED bonus scheme in which you will receive additional bonus for hitting your collection target.
