Job Description
A multi billion dollar global macro hedge fund are looking to add to their commodities team in London. The team already has expertise in Renewable energy and power across global markets therefore they are seeking macro Energy Analyst with a focus on UK markets. The fund currently has AUM at $6 Billion and a strong capital escalation plan to continue this growth.
You should have:-
- A Developed a clear understanding of the UK energy market with detailed knowledge on the market fundamentals.
- Experience providing long/short term analysis and trading strategies on the UK Oil and Gas markets.
-Undertaken various consulting projects and recurring products to support a customer portfolio of leading national and international oil and gas, and utilities company, in areas of scenario based planning and modeling of the UK Energy market.
You will be given the opportunity to provide research for the Portfolio Manager and also provide trading cover. You will be the lead analyst within the fund providing analysis on impacts on the UK market, fuel demand and carbon production.
Due to the set up of the fund the ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the buy side or an Energy Trading house as a senior Fundamental analyst on UK Energy. This is the ideal opportunity for an individual with supreme analytical skills and a grasp on UK Markets to move onto a successful team with a direct involvement in the investment process.
