Job Description
A leading provider of information and research in the renewable energy field are currently looking for a Senior Research Manager to join a London-based clean energy team. The Senior Research Manager will lead the company's UK team of analysts, each of whom covers specific sub-sectors
Duties and responsibilities will include -
Set short-, medium- and long-term research goals for the company in each industry sector
Lead key pieces of analysis
Project manage the output of the research team to ensure timely delivery of promised analysis and rapid reaction to market events
Guide and train the research team on market and financial analysis techniques
Interact with clients on a regular basis, providing briefings on key topics and soliciting feedback to help drive the research agenda
Present the company's research at conferences and to media contacts
Liaise with the commercial team to help secure new clients
Suitable applicants will be motivational leaders and analytical problem solvers as well as possessing strong quantitative skills. You must have experience in building financial, market and economic models and have knowledge of corporate, market and government statistics.
Educated preferably to postgraduate level or equivalent, candidates are also required to possess industry-leading knowledge of at least one area of clean energy or the carbon markets; strong knowledge of finance, including public markets, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and project finance; understanding of policy as a driver of investment.
Foreign language skills would also be a benefit.
