Job Description
A leading investment bank is seeking an experienced Senior Economist (macro IR, FX) to join its Economic Research and Strategy team in London, focusing on the UK economy. Suitable candidates will have senior-level experience (preferably VP or Director level) working on macro-economic research on the UK or European economy. You must have a through knowledge of the major macro-economic factors affecting the UK economy, including retail, mortgages, Interest Rates and FX. You will be working in a hybrid team which sits between research and strategy, helping the Executive Board to understand the relationship between the macro-economic environment and the bank’s product and client base. The role is unique in that you can use your economic research skills to generate ideas that will be implemented throughout the bank, thus seeing the results of your work.
