Phenomenal opportunity for a qualified accountant likely to be coming from an accountancy practice or financial reporting role in industry to take on a highly client facing role that involves very little to no actual accountancy work! Private equity experience an advantage but not essential! Our client is a leading, progressive and rapidly growing company that has been a dedicated fund outsourcing partner to the private equity and property fund management industry for well over 5 years. They currently work with a variety of institutional and boutique clients and offer a unique fund accounting and investor reporting service. This area within financial services has literally exploded in growth over the last few years as more and more private equity and property firms turn to fund specialists and outsource their accounting work. The company now boasts over 100 staff globally with offices in London, Guernsey and New York and plans to expand again in 2009. This particular role will work alongside a Senior Accountant and jointly manage 3 part-qualified accountants. The responsibilities will be to co-ordinate all fund level financial reporting for a variety of clients and funds (some US based), manage investor reporting and review all accounts prepared by your team. You'll need to troubleshoot and assist on technical issues around UK/US GAAP and IFRS but largely be there to oversee what goes on rather than physically trudge through the numbers. You can expect a huge volume of autonomy, client interaction and ad hoc project work. We're looking for someone likely to have qualified in an accountancy firm or financial reporting role in industry and preferably need someone with strong US GAAP experience.
