Fantastic opportunity for a driven and charismatic individual to take up the Number 1 job for this leading fund outsourcing business based in their new Jersey offices in St. Helier! With a fantastic work life balance, 20% flat income tax rate and close proximity to London (1 hour flight), this is a top offshore destination offering a genuinely empowering role for a driven funds expert who wants out of a box standard accounting role. Our client has devised, grown and developed a successful fund administration business in the London market and is now keen to set up a permanent presence in Jersey. They currently service several Jersey clients out of London but now need a capable and driven individual on the ground to take them through their next phase of development. At their core, they remain a dedicated outsourcing partner providing fund accounting, investor reporting and consultancy services to real estate and private equity fund managers. They have grown to a sizable number with assets under administration well past the £5bn mark. You will be instrumental in growing the offshore practice, initially focusing on managing the existing business in terms of providing the accounting and reporting services, whilst also assisting with new business development and marketing of the firms offshore capabilities. This is an ideal role for someone who is potentially a Financial Controller, FD, CFO within a fund manager or Senior Audit Manager (or equivalent) with relevant private equity or real estate knowledge at a leading accountancy firm. Either way you'll need relevant industry experience with any offshore exposure a distinct advantage. Although the role will be incredibly hands on at first, you'll be tasked with building a team and developing the talent below you so as to take on more of a reviewing and client services type role in the future. This company is a small owner managed business able to offer equity and other incentives that other more established companies can't compete with. 2009 looks to be a profitable year with new clients looking to outsource at a time when cost have come to the forefront and companies like this are booming with new business.
