Job Description
Superb career opportunity within a leading Private Bank. This is A Junior Private Banking opportunity working alongside an established Private Banking Consultant. Dealing with HNW and UHNW clients throughout the Yorkshire and Scotland region. This role requires exceptional client relationship skills, the ability to identify client needs and offer tailored solutions. You will be provided with a portfolio of HNW clients. The emphasis is on quality and not volume, requiring regular client reviews. Good knowledge of complex lending is preferred. The successful applicant will have a strong record of achievement, the gravitas and credibility to deal with clients at this level, be a self-starter and ideally studying towards AFPC qualifications.
You will:
Develop and maintain profitable long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients. Maximise income by understanding clients' requirements and increase the penetration of suitable products to the customer base.
Control risk by adhering to internal procedures, evaluation and judgement of lending proposals, and ensuring suitability of product sales. Act as a supportive member of the team.
Provide a consistent, credible and accessible point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
Expand the size and quality of segment client base through the initiation of new relationships, and the deepening of existing ones.
Contribute to profit, sales and product targets of the segment by selling appropriate products and services to the portfolio of clients.
Act as the point of reference for resolving escalated client issues.
Ensure integrity of client segmentation by referral to the most appropriate segment.
Input timely and accurate client information as required by the client information system.
Build and maintain segment/industry knowledge and share this knowledge with colleagues
Participate in supervisory structures as required by the appropriate framework and undertake ongoing professional development.
Manage risk by adhering to internal controls and procedures, and via evaluation and judgement of risk (including of lending proposals)
To act in accordance with the regulatory requirements and standards under the Financial Services Authority (FSA)
Skills
FPC 1,2 and 3 as a minimum, ideally working towards AFPC
SII Certification (Investment Management) Or Investment Management Certificate advantageous
Strong Team Player that is able to work along side an experienced mentor
Excellent client relationship building skills
Highest standards of professionalism
Strong sales track record
Energetic, enthusiastic, self-starter
Good knowledge of complex lending desirable
