Job Title: Sales Servicing Consultant



1 Job Description

1.1 To assist all new business appointments for Birmingham by being able to

identify and develop opportunities.

.2 To project and manage sales opportunities through to completion as follows:-

· Preparation of Proposal

· Responding to RFP/TT where relevant

· Preparing the presentation

· Preparing the team for their formal pitch

1.3 To service major DC accounts won.

2. Job Requirements

2.1 To take responsibility for conducting on average 3 new business

appointments per week.

2.2 To take responsibility for quality of appointments made by telemarketing

team.

2.3 To take responsibility for arranging a minimum of 4 seminars per annum.

2.4 To win/retain £500,000 worth of new business for 2009.

2.5 Provide training on topical issues for telemarketing team

2.6 Ability to communicate effectively and concisely in writing, in person and over

the telephone.

2.7 Good interpersonal skills and the building of good relationships with

colleagues, clients and staff of associated companies.

2.8 Personal characteristics to include integrity, honesty as well as the ability to

adapt to change and to work as a member of a team

3. Main Duties

3.1 Ensuring the quality of sales documents issued to prospects.

3.2 Keeping up to date on all technical issues and developments to identify sales

campaigns.

3.3 Keeping CRM database up to date, to include all contact with prospects to be

documented and dated, including telemarketing contact.

3.4 Attending monthly sales meetings with Divisional Managing director

and other sales consultants

3.5 Reporting weekly on activity against agreed benchmarks.

3.6 Undertake special projects as agreed.

Previous experience working within an employee benefits organisation and strong technical knowledge of pensions and group risk products is essential.
