Job Description

To carry out a variety of administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the SSAS department for all new and existing SSAS schemes and provide appropriate administrative support to consultants.
 
Liaise between clients, pension trustees, insurance companies and consultants for all schemes as required.
 
Main Duties
 
Research into existing and retained pension benefits for prospective new clients.
 
Complete all relevant documentation for new SSAS schemes.
Obtain illustrations and any outstanding information required, either for internal
compliance or for the scheme actuary.
 
Open and monitor bank accounts for trustees as required.
 
Obtain/check policy documents, deeds etc.
Maintain adequate diary procedures to ensure quick and efficient flow of business through to commission payment stage.
 
Database input for all schemes and policies and update database as required.
 
Prepare transfer documentation, including internal transfer forms as required by compliance and issue to client; obtaining TVA's and issue to client if applicable and liaising with insurance companies to transfer benefits into SSAS.
 
Prepare appropriate documentation for loans/leases, setting up standing orders for repayments.
 
Liaise between clients, pension trustees, insurance companies and consultants for all schemes as required.
 
Obtain information required for scheme accounts/tax returns preparation, liaising with accountant, if applicable.
 
Check and issue annual statements to clients.
 
Obtain all relevant information from clients/accountants/insurance companies.
 
Be the point of contact for two of the consultants and carry out the administration for all their schemes, where possible.
 
Carry out any other duties as and when required.


Skills
Must have knowledge of SSAS administration.
Professional qualifications an advantage, but not essential.
Technical skills desirable.
Good knowledge of pensions legislation required.
