Our client is an award-winning, accountancy organisation, with more than 1,000 offices in over 100 countries. An opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Operations Manager to join their team.
This role would suit a high calibre CISI or PFS (or equivalent) qualified professional with operations management experience gained within the financial sector, looking to develop their career with the world's fifth largest accountancy organisation.
As the Senior Operations Manager, your focus will be on building and maintaining relationships with people and departments throughout the organisation, anticipating future operational needs, improving operational efficiencies and providing support to the Senior Management Team.
Responsible for a small team, you will directly support the Operations Director by ensuring that all centralised operations and procedures adhere to FSA regulations. In addition to overseeing system interrogation, ensuring compliance and identifying any gaps in training and procedures, you will also identify and resolve (or escalate) any operational queries.
Your other duties will include:
- Communicating operational activities, changes and updates throughout the business, ensuring full compliance
- Assisting the Operations Director in ensuring projects are run efficiently and effectively
- Provide guidance to the Senior Management Team regarding any complex technical queries raised
- Taking ownership by investigating and resolving issues escalated by the Admin Manager and the Operations Risk and Control Manager
- Supervising the day-to-day activities of the Regular Projects and Reconciliation Team
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Experience of operations management, gained within a Financial Services environment
- A CISI diploma, a full PFS certificate or equivalent qualification (including Supervisor qualifications)
- Experience of using Adviser Office and Financial Express software systems
As a Senior Operations Manager you must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal coupled with a customer focused approach. Excellent prioritisation and organisation skills are also key.
Although not essential, knowledge or experience of Eximius would be a distinct advantage to your application. Possessing strong project management skills would also be beneficial.
