Job Description
A corporate actions AVP is required by one of the world's largest and most prestigious investment banks in the world.
Based in London, the bank's corporate actions department are responsible for event types relating to equity and fixed income products, for the UK, European and Emerging Markets. They manage a variety of clients such as proprietary trading, prime brokerage, stock loan, yield enhancement, private clients and external counterparties worldwide. The department is responsible for each event throughout its life cycle, including the notification, reconciliation, response tracking, posting entries to books & records, claims processing and risk management.
The corporate actions AVP will supervise the corporate action processing team within the international trading group to achieve good results in a positive environment. They will participate in department recruitment, and effectively organise the work of the team, as well as carry out the authorisation of market instructions prior to agent deadlines.
A detailed level of understanding of voluntary corporate actions is required for this role, which will have been achieved through the candidate's solid corporate actions experience. Desirably, you will have good business knowledge experience gained in a broker/dealer environment, and product knowledge understanding of settlements.
