Legal Counsel/Paralegal
£18.00 - £25.00 Per Hour
City OF London
Leading global investment bank with a strong and profitable private clients franchise is seeking the services of an experienced and articulate Legal Counsel/Paralegal with good communication skills.
The primary focus of this role is to negotiate ISDA/CSA and GMRA Master Agreements for various entity types incl. hedge fund counterparties.
The role involves the following responsibilities:
Documents/Areas
ISDA Master Agreements (primarily English law)
Credit Support Annex (primarily English law - title transfer/deed)
Repo Agreements (Global Master Repurchase Agreements)
Guarantees
Novation Agreements (relating to bank mergers)
Confidentiality Agreements
Introducing Brokerage Agreements
Counterparty types:
Hedge funds (inc. as companies/ limited partnerships/unit trusts)
Banks
Corporates
Sovereign / Governmental offices
Jurisdictions covered incl.
Channel Islands, Denmark, Egypt, England and Wales (incl Isle of Man), Finland, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden,.
You will need have good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral). Ideally you will be a be an ambitious self-starter, with the ability to achieve goals with minimal assistance as well as be able to work under pressure. You will be lawyer or professional in a law firm with a respected finance/derivatives practice or a financial institution. You must have experience negotiating ISDA/CSA and GMRA with a variety of entity types and multiple jurisdictions
