Job Description
An equity derivatives business analyst is required for one of the world's largest and leading international investment banks.
The equity derivatives business analyst will be part of derivatives projects, which is an operations-based business analysis and project/programme management team which specifies and delivers the technology and processes necessary to support the derivative businesses, and defines the future vision for derivative operations.
This role is within a rapidly expanding team and hence there is scope for the successful candidate to shape and evolve the role over time. The individual responsibilities will include:
- Take ownership of one or more derivatives projects, taking ultimate responsibility for successful delivery of the project(s) to time and budget.
- Ensure that the business case for renovation work is transparent, understood and committed to by all key stakeholders in all regions across operations, IT, finance and the equity and fixed income business units (where appropriate).
Strong business analysis skills are mandatory - both low level analysis such as requirement capture, and high level analysis such as developing a future state architecture. These skills should be coupled with a creative, flexible and pragmatic approach to problem solving. Detailed knowledge & experience of derivative products is required, with equity derivatives being preferred over other asset classes.
