Operations Co-ordinator / Production Co-ordinator Signs
Chessington (Surrey/South London)
£18,000 £22,500 DOE
For over sixty years, our client has been translating design concepts into powerful signals. As the Sign Industry awards 2006 winner, they design, manufacture, install and maintain signs for some of Britain's biggest businesses. They are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic Operations Co-ordinator / Production Co-ordinator to join their team in Chessington.
For the right person this role offers the potential to progress providing you with the chance to kick-start your career. In this role, in addition to receiving company training, you will be provided with support and guidance from the Production Manager and other key members of our client's team, which will equip you to successfully deliver projects that meet the customer's quality expectations, on time and within budget.
As the Operations Co-ordinator / Production Co-ordinator you will be responsible for running the production schedule using the scheduling software, ensuring completion dates are met and managing potential scheduling conflicts along the way. Your day to day tasks will vary depending upon the production priorities and will include:
- Managing the production schedule and all associated activities including production and capacity reports
- Advising the Production Manager and project team of any conflicts/delays in the schedule
- Stock Control including stock ordering, managing deliveries
- Setting production priorities and communicating the schedule to the factory team leaders
- Liaising with the project team to ensure project deadlines are met
- Providing support to both the installation and production manager
To succeed as the Operations Co-ordinator / Production Co-ordinator you must have good planning and communication skills, good attention to detail, a confident approach and the ability to interact with people at all levels of the business. Our client is keen to hear from both motivated graduates who are looking to develop their career, and applicants who possess relevant experience in a similar position.
Equally as important to your success in this role will be your good PC skills, specifically using MS Office. With your natural interpersonal and organisational skills, you will also need to take a proactive approach to your work, and have the ability to see tasks through to completion.
