Aim is 400,000 new jobs

The Federation of Small Businesses has outlined a strategy aimed at tackling unemployment in the UK. The aim is to create 400,000 new jobs. The proposals promote part time working and investment in apprenticeships and call for simplification of legislation and lower payroll taxes. John Wright, the national chairman of the FSB, said that it was vital to create and retain jobs in the small business sector when unemployment was rising.
