Job Description

Successful global fund manager with impressive plans in place for 2009 seeks an analytical and commercially minded Finance Business Analyst for a crucial new role in their strategy and planning team. Our client has emerged unscathed from the recent financial turmoil and is looking to significantly increase numbers in finance off the back of a global transformation project which has increased assets under management and catapulted them to dizzy new heights. This position will be almost entirely value added, ad hoc and decision support focused with little involvement in routine month end tasks. Your role will be to develop from scratch all management information and KPI's for one of the largest revenue generating business units, deliver to and work with significant management across the business and take on a more finance relationship management based role. This is an entirely new position so needs someone who is hands on, happy to roll up their sleeves and keen to develop a career in financial planning and analysis. We're ideally looking for a CIMA/ACCA finalist/newly qualified accountant (or equivalent), likely to be coming from an investment management or investment banking background. You'll need to show strong awareness of revenue and cost, excellent attention to detail but most importantly, a relaxed and easy going personality.
