Job Description
A Global Investment Bank with presence in more than 50 countries worldwide seeks talented Project Managers to join their MI programme.
The Programme, based within Finance, is responsible for implementing changes to Finance systems and processes in order to deliver enhanced business information relating to business performance, financial management and operational metrics necessary to support executive decision making.
The objectives of the MI Programme are, in the short-term, to provide an effective mechanism for production of regular and ad-hoc MI reports for the combined organisation. Specific initiatives are being set up to target: daily / flash / monthly / board reporting processes and Data Quality improvements across MI reporting processes. Reporting covers the multiple dimensions of Product, Client and Geography. A strategic MI Project will deliver enhanced Management Information production for customers through optimised systems and processes over the medium-longer term.
Broadly your responsibilities will cover:
Project planning
Creation / assisting in the creation of Programme Terms of Reference, Project Initiation / Definition Documents
Define, initiate and manage the delivery of each Finance work stream
Identifying milestones and tracking delivery against achievability.
Define and gain support for the detailed Target Operating Models
Lead the process definition
Establish appropriate project governance framework
Liaise with the stakeholder groups, which may include Front Office, Business Unit Controllers, Regional Finance teams, Group Finance, Operations, Risk, IT, HR and Compliance.
Organise and run Sponsor, Steering and Working groups
Active stakeholder management including status reporting
Resource profiling and recruitment
Determine, agree and manage the project budget (including tracking costs against budget and reporting)
Drive & oversee Business Analyst deliverables (specifications, requirements), process implementation and system deliverables including testing
Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies
Specific business knowledge & technical knowledge required:
Project Management / Lead BA experience
Understanding of, and ability to apply strong project disciplines.
Experience working in an MI reporting or MI Change environment in an Investment Banking environment
Good understanding of Management Information principles and practices as applied to Investment Banking environment
Ability to see the ?bigger picture? whilst still be comfortable with the detail
Running effective governance and dealing with senior stakeholders
