Job Description

A leading London Hedge Fund specialising in hedged/long only investment portfolios is looking to add to its finance team. We are looking for a Finance Manager to support the senior management with the core and fund accounts and coordinate the junior members of the department as direct reports. Core responsibilities would be to prepare the management accounts for the purposes of reporting to the board as well as being involved in the FSA returns. You will be in charge of reviewing the tasks carried out by the finance assistants as well as working on the fund accounts and liaising with the 3rd party administrators. Review of fund financial statements and some compliance monitoring will make up this varied role. We are ideally looking for a qualified accountant with some financial services experience preferably with a fund manager. Knowledge of SUN systems and strong communication skills will be advantageous. As part of a small team you will be expected to work proactively and under your own initiative as well as providing guidance for the junior members of the finance function.
