Job Description

Senior Hedge Fund Accountant- 6 months then possibly perm £400 per day A position has arisen to work for a large asset manager as a senior fund accountant. The main purpose of the role will be to assist the Head of Fund Accounting in managing the day to day fund accounting requirements for a range of alternative funds, primarily fund of hedge funds and private equity fund of funds. You will also be assisting in managing a team of five accountants as well as being responsible for calculating weekly, monthly and quarterly NAVs as well as the investment reports. In addition to this you will be working with various teams across the company to document and develop workflows, procedures, policies and systems both internally and externally at each of the third party fund administrators and custodians. You will also have to train and develop the existing team and aid in the recruitment of future staff in line with business growth. The candidate will have 2-3 years post qualified experience within an Asset Manager or Hedge Fund. In addition to this management experience in an Offshore Hedge Fund Administrator or Fund of Hedge Fund would be advantageous.
