Job Description
Leading Docklands based investment bank is looking for a Business Analyst to join their projects team.The project team facilitates contact between global business contacts across all OTC derivative asset classes and IT. The candidate will be specifically recruited initially to work on a large project to rollout a strategic confirmations system globally across asset class. This is a high profile initiative required to improve STP rates and meet the requirements of the bank wide derivatives architecture programme. The candidate will require an excellent understanding of interest rate derivatives and the front to back business process.
The main duties of the role are the business analysis through the entire project lifecycle, through requirements gathering and test script writing and execution, recommendation of STP improvements, UAT co-ordination.
The strategic confirmations system aims to facilitate the automation of messaging with the DTCC and roll out of all non DTCC/Swapswire eligible confirmations templates onto a new template management system (Thunderhead). Although the role covers initially interest rate derivatives there is scope to get involved in projects covering other derivative asset classes as the system is rolled out.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Defining , documenting and reviewing business requirements with the aim of achieving full STP for all trade events and products including mapping to DTCC messages or Thunderhead templates;
- Defining and documenting the new business process with the users;
- Working with IT to define and review functional specifications;
- Identifying and co-ordinating any training requirements resulting from system implementations;
- Facilitating clear communication channel between the IT and business areas;
- Compiling and executing UAT test scripts;
- Co-ordinating sign UAT off; and
- Post implementation review.
This is a permanent role to start as soon as possible.
