Job Description
Our client, a Qatar-based investment bank is seeking a Head, Corporate Finance & Advisory to lead the ‘Corporate Finance & Advisory' division. Reporting to the CEO the successful applicant will be expected to develop and implement strategic plans; oversee corporate finance advisory mandates on mergers, acquisitions, startups, valuation advisory engagements, company listing, private placements of equity, initial public offerings (IPOs) and secondary offerings while directing the provision of effective debt capital solutions for clients' specific financing needs, overseeing and approving the risk-return appetite of the target client pool, in compliance with regulatory requirements and Islamic Shariah principles.
The successful applicant will have at least 10-12 years of related experience of which a minimum of 4 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably with a reputable financial institution in the GCC region. Knowledge of Shariah compliant investment products and services is preferred. A university degree in a maths, economics or business-related subject with specialization in financial management and MBA in finance and / or professional qualifications such as CA/ CPA/ CFA are preferable.
