Leading Investment Bank is currently seeking a Business Analyst for their Markets & Investment Banking division. 

Role: 

Strengthen and enhance the Systems Business Support Services department, with particular emphasis on the provision of business solutions on the K+ and ATLAS Platforms.  

Responsibilities: 

• Identify areas where systems adaptations and development can improve business workflow.
• Enhance current procedures to ensure smooth through-put.
• Integration of systems where possible and/or applicable. 
• Liaise between IT and the business to ensure that business requirements are fully understood by IT and implemented in a timely fashion, without business recourse.
• Support Front Office business systems.
• Accountable for successful upgrades of current Front Office systems
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Keep up to date with current market technologies and implement where necessary.
• Project life cycle management - Follow up formal testing undertaken by the Development support team and pass-on functional specs to testers, answer questions, help write and review test scripts. Follow up UAT and system data set-up in co-ordination with developers, testers and users.
• Understand and document business processes.              
• Gather requirements and priorities from users.           
• Suggest changes where needed, such as workflow simplification and improvements or changes due to the introduction of a new system etc.            
• Participate with the technical roll-out of ATLAS to other sites, providing support as required.
• Assist with the design, planning and implementation of the London Business Continuity Plan ensuring it is up to date and reflects the current Markets system requirements.  

Requirements: 

• Full understanding of Middle and Back Office Business Functions, including FX and Money Market Trading, and all MARKETS Systems, Data flows - Kontas, Lothbury, PATH, XStream
•  Knowledge of Electronic/Internet Trading Systems e.g. Cognotec, Espeed, Tradeweb, EBS, StateStreet, HotspotFx, FxAll, Currenex and order processing systems e.g. RODEO, Reuters, ORMS
• Money Market and Derivative support experience
• HNC/Degree or equivalent in computer systems and IT technology
• Fully conversant with all MS Office products including MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Exceed.
• Excellent working knowledge of ATLAS, K+, IMOD, Mifo, Murex, Calypso, and the Treasury database
• Ability to develop queries in Transact SQL e.g. Sybase, Oracle, MySQL, SQL server, KSQL and associated tools
• Proactive/tenacious/flexible approach to technical solutions, whilst mindful of any budgetary constraints
• Extensive experience in banking IT systems support environment, with exposure to Bloomberg, Reuters and associated services and applications e.g. RTW, PowerPlus, RTG, OpenLink, Kobra, Triarch, D200/2001 etc.
• Project management methodology, e.g.  route, project and transition plans; issues trackers
• Liaise with vendors, handling support agreements and product licensing issues
• Fully conversant with SYSTEMS reporting methodologies and systems, including Lotus Notes Projects database – Desirable

 Salary:
