Job Description
An international underwriting insurance firm have a job opening for a Qualified Project Accountant to report into the Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with Prince 2 and insurance experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an internationally successful firm with a forward thinking and rewarding company policy.
Job Responsibilities:
- The new team member will be responsible for various recurring and non-recurring project work such as UK to international GAAP conversion, SOX Solvency II, accounting / underwriting system migrations.
- Assisting with creation of journal entries for underwriting and non underwriting related accounts.
- Assisting with production of UK GAAP accounts and FSA solvency returns
- Assisting with production of taxation / statutory / regulatory returns: Corp, Tax etc
The suitable applicants should have the following experiences and qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (Ideally Chartered Accountant)
- Insurance experience
- Technical working knowledge of Insurance accounting
- Familiarity with UK, US to International GAAP
- Advanced Excel
