Job Description
A leading London based insurance company currently have a job opening for a qualified accountant. As the Finance Manager you will be reporting into the Group Financial Controller, your main responsibility will be for managing daily transaction processing and change management in the finance team. With 5 direct reports you must be a strong leader with the ability to work in a change management position.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts team ensuring service level agreements with the business are met
- Manage the performance management process for the accounts team, including setting objectives and development plans and conducting reviews
- Manage delivery of month end tasks which are primarily bank recs and control account recs
- Review of bank balance synopsis and cashflow forecasts highlighting any issues to treasury
- Represent finance at release meetings
- Consider the impact of project changes to applications on finance
- Manage user acceptance testing for finance department for each of the IT releases
- Continual review of processes to improve efficiency and quality
- Key liaison contact with new accounting systems support in order to understand changes required and further capability
- Liaison with rest of finance department on future changes
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- Strong management experience
- Insurance experience highly desirable
- Experience in project based roles
