Job Description
A leading Insurance company based in London have a job opportunity for a qualified Systems Accountant. You will be responsible to support the GFR team and senior management of the Group in the development of, and pro-active management of an appropriate Financial Systems Strategy to support the external reporting of results and provision of insightful, timely and accurate MI, plans and forecasts. The desired candidate must have strong COGNOS CONTROLLER experience.
Job Responsibilities;
- Develop a Group Financial Systems Strategy, encompassing all systems necessary for external and internal reporting at a Group level down to interfaces with Group reporting tools in the Divisions
- Maintain and develop COGNOS as a consolidation, planning and reporting tool
- Train the Divisions in the use of COGNOS
- Maintain effective controls within COGNOS
- Effectively liaise with external auditors and other external advisors on COGNOS and financial systems matters
- Support the Group external reporting of financial results to shareholders, analysts and banks, including statutory accounts, press announcements and analyst presentations
- Support the Planning and MI Reporting function to produce MI, Forecasts and 3 Year Plans
- Participate in External Reporting, MI, Forecasting and Planning processes as part of Divisional review team
