Job Description
A leading insurance company have a vacancy for a Financial Accountant. The job will entail management and control of the internal and external reporting and the day to day operational functions ensuring adherence to accounting policies and regulatory compliance. This is an exciting career opportunity for a qualified accountant with proven experience within a similar role, preferably insurance or financial services.
Key Job responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop statutory, management and group reporting
- Coordinate and develop the expense allocation process between service companies and head office
- Manage and control the budgeting, forecasting and planning process
- Perform the monthly cost centre allocations, prepare and distribute cost centre expense analysis reports and resolve resulting queries
- Performed monthly variance analysis, including clear and concise critical commentaries, highlighting key issues and future trends
- Develop competencies of team to ensure we have the necessary skills to meet customer, stakeholders and employee expectations including the monitoring and controlling of bonus targets and conducting of appraisals
Candidate Profile:
- Budgeting processes within a multi Service Company structure
- Financial accounting experience
- Financial planning and control experience
- ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified
