Job Description
1. Underwriting Process
· Provide natural cat and/or terrorism pricing support across the business
· Work with the actuaries and underwriters in developing cat. pricing models
· Support the evaluation of the reinsurance requirements of the business
2. Portfolio Reporting
- Manage the production and delivery of the quarterly Roll Ups' to timetable
- Improve the data reconciliation process
- Improve the quality of the data capture
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Increase the level of understanding of the underwriters and the Executives of the modelling methodologies and output
- Challenge the modelling methodologies and assumptions
- Ensure compliance with all guidance and controls
- Ensure that the team have tools appropriate to the task
3. Business Planning / Regulatory Reporting
- Work with the actuaries in developing models that will assist in our Capital Planning requirements
- Manage the production and delivery of the Lloyd's nat cat. and terrorism RDS
- Assist the Lloyds Risk Management Unit in developing the framework for monitoring nat cat and terrorism risk.

Technical Skills
Individual Risk Underwriting: Ability to assess risk hazards and exposures and to determine appropriate rates individual risks;
Portfolio Management : Ability to monitor underwriting results on a portfolio & producer basis; Knowledge & ability to apply actuarial techniques in assessing risk.
Specialist/unique role requirements: Data manipulation and analysis of large-scale risks using risk-modelling products. Aptitude to solve problems quickly and creatively. Understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts. Numerate and logical.

Marketing Skills building relationships with customers & intermediaries
Minimum undergraduate degree.
Commitment to continuing education in the areas of Terrorism/Natural Hazards, Engineering, Insurance, Actuarial Science.
In depth knowledge of RMS Risk Link / Risk Browser suite.
