Job Description
Niche reinsurance company currently have an excellent career opportunity for a Financial Accountant. Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for ensuring the controls are in place, accurate and timely reporting and controls of banking transactions. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with senior management.
- Responsibility for external reporting
- Internal reporting to Paris consolidation department
- Responsibility for managing daily banking and external relationships with banks
- Communication process with the External Auditors during the Audits.
- Communication with tax and legal experts indirect tax issues
- Ensuring that all transactions are completely and accurately recorded in the books of the company
- Ensuring controls are in place to safeguard the assets of the company
- Calculation and payment of corporate and indirect taxes
- Control of all banking transactions, including treasury function, brokers settlements, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- UK statutory reporting (FSA Returns, UK statutory financial statements)
- Controls over the general ledger system and the entry of all non-technical data
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Previous financial accounting experience
- Financial statutory reporting experience
- Excellent communication skills
