Job Description
PURPOSE:
To provide underwriting expertise and assist the Senior Management. To be a referral point for other members of the Department.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.Undertakes analysis of broker and scheme performance.
2.Negotiates fleets and schemes with brokers
3.Liaises with brokers as necessary and assists in obtaining and developing profitable business.
4.Considers and underwrites new business proposals, raises queries with brokers, considers terms and premiums for renewal business. Processes MTA's as appropriate
5.Provides technical input to wordings as necessary
6.Offers advice and guidance to other staff as necessary
7.Provides support to Senior Management as required
8.Ensure compliance with requirements of FSA and MID or any other regulatory body.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
1.Extensive knowledge of motor underwriting and experience at senior level.
2.Comprehensive knowledge of Fleet, Commercial Motor and Specialist Motor policy wordings, endorsements and schemes.
3.Ability to use Excel, Word and email software
4.Preferably ACII qualified
