Job Description
Working for this successful organisation, you will be involved in product development, helping to continually differentiate their products and services from the competition. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a significant part in the achievement of this objective.
As a Team Leader you will manage the Personal Lines and Commercial Lines Development Teams. The teams develop internal and external products for the direct and broker market place and undertake pricing updates and maintenance work.
Responsibilities
· Achieve agreed deadlines for delivery of/changes to products within agreed service levels:
· Plan the resource allocation for the development new products
· Coordinate development plans with Testers
· Plan the maintenance of existing products and release monthly rating updates
Act as a technical reference point for the business and manage all activities using project management methodology combined with best practice to ensure that all initiatives are well defined, managed and delivered to quality and
schedule.
Ensure all appropriate management information and statistics are provided in a timely manner and distributed to the correct audience. Manage the team effectively and within guidelines and procedures.
In order to be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of broker software including Open GI, CDL etc
- Knowledge of broker market
- Personal lines product knowledge gained from insurer or broker
- Previous supervisory/management experience preferred as you will be dealing with allocation of work and HR issues, however someone with in-depth experience in a similar product delivery/electronic trading area role, specifically looking to advance to management will be considered
- Commercial lines experience an advantage but not essential
- Experience of Polaris product writer software and AS400 an advantage.
- Ability to prioritise high volumes and wide ranging internal business requests
