Job Description

This is a new role working within a High Net Worth division working alongside a newly launched motor product within the Manchester region to complement a market leading household policy. As an experienced underwriter, you will be expected to service an allocated panel of North Western brokers and maximise conversion/retention rates. The role holder will be expected to provide support to brokers through providing initial quotes, maintaining extraordinary levels of service and renewing key cases. Relationship building and communication skills are of paramount importance and existing broker relationships would be a great advantage. You will need to be a strong character and hold the line during tough market conditions and in times of a soft market to ensure no deviation from the core underwriting and pricing strategy. Ideally you will also have experience of being directly involved with the day to day underwriting of high value vehicles and private vehicle portfolio's and will be expected to work closely with the London based motor underwriting manager and senior. Key responsibilities include - day to day case underwriting household and motor business, assisting the underwriting manager with the delivery of the key financial metrics and involvement with broker and underwriter training.
