Who they are

Leading Global Lloyds market Insurance business based in London are looking to attract a talented Auditor to their existing team. This is an opportunity to join a truly blue chip organisation at an exciting time for the business and the successful candidate will be challenged to innovate new business processes as well as re-engineer existing ones from within an existing advisory and consultative internal audit team.

What you will be doing
You will monitor adherence to documented control procedures and other guidelines and protocols and assess the adequacy of the mechanisms in place for identifying, analysing and mitigating key business risks and collaborate with the Risk Management function to improve the risk management activities.
To perform independent appraisal of the effectiveness, operation and documentation of the control framework in place with the aim of providing assurance to the board that the organisation is well controlled.
To undertake audits and to ensure that all audit points raised are implemented and followed up, produce documentation to an agreed standard, facilitating file review by management and can be relied upon by other team members, the external auditors and other agreed third parties. Drive change where necessary across the business and play a key role in direction in which the business moves.

Why you should apply

I am looking for a qualified Accountant or finalist (ACA, ACCA) preferably from an Audit Practice background. You will need existing UK Insurance experience from either audit or a reporting role. You should have a good knowledge of general insurance, Lloyd's insurance market and Reinsurance and appreciate the risks inherent in a general insurance group. A high level of understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a General Insurer's Actuarial Function would be desirable and familiarity with Operational Risk Management techniques would make you a very strong candidate indeed. In return you can expect a broad and varied role with clear career progression opportunities and excellent package. In addition you will enjoy full investment in your development and success and a reporting line direct into the Head of Audit.
