About The Role

Working in a Trading environment you will manage an effective and productive team of Underwriters.

You will be required to ensure targets are met in line with the business plan, delivering across all areas of trading, service and profit.

Key Responsibilities

•Coach and develop the team to create a dynamic Trading environment
•Recognise, prioritise and review activities to deliver results against
 service and profit targets
•Ensure service/target/quality standards are maintained
•Develop and implement the team business plan, in support of the Unit and Regional Plans
•Develop and implement the team resource plan
•Stimulate, develop and enhance business relationships
•Work with other Team Managers to optimise results and use of resources
•Plan and implement the training and development of staff
•Working with the Senior Underwriter increase the Underwriting Capability of the team
•Operate effectively and efficiently within expense budget
•Ensure compliance with all Governance aspects

•Effective leadership in a changing environment
•Relationship management skills to support the trading environment. This will require the ability to interact with a broad range of people, both internally and externally with customers
•Experience of the commercial insurance environment
•Personally seeking and acting on feedback gained through actively visiting Brokers
