Job Description
A vacancy has arisen for a claims negotiator within a liability claims team based in London. Experience is required from within Commercial Employer and Public Liability claims handling. CII qualifications an advantage.
Job Specification:
Identify areas of investigation to establish liability/causation and be aware of relevant case law and statutory requirements
Identify and reduce avoidable litigation
Identify where rehabilitation may help to reduce the lifespan and overall value of the claim
Interpretation of policy cover as required
Pro-active handling of files to reduce settlement costs
Manage own portfolio of work through to settlement within limits of authority
Prepare files above normal authority levels for reference to senior
personnel, making recommendations where necessary
