Experience of working within a commercial environment
· Liasing with the Management team and direct reports, drive and oversee the completion of the monthly, quarterly and annual (LRP/AOP) management reporting for DECS UK including actuals and forecasts to ensure that financial data is robust, in line with business objectives and is submitted on time.
· Ensure the effective monitoring of actual performance versus plan resulting in accurate analyses, reporting and insightful recommendations for course of actions to improve status quo.
· Work closely with sales and attend customer meeting where possible, by building strong financial deals and recommendations using Business Decision Models to gain new business or renew/improve profitability of existing accounts in line with company objectives.
· Issue reports on an ad-hoc basis to sales and marketing to provide useful information to support specific plans and actions.
· Motivate, develop and support a team of two part qualified accountants to ensure that all tasks are carried out in a timely manner and that the department's objectives are met.
Collaborate with both internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and SOX key controls.
· Management Team:
o Budget monitoring of actual performance versus plan, so that action can be taken if necessary to improve the business' performance.
o Monthly presentation of the period's result highlighting risks and opportunities for the business
o Ad hoc analysis
· Sales:
o Work closely with sales and marketing on business tenders in view to gain new customers by providing financial support and insight on how to build strong financial deals
o Work closely with sales on contract renewals in view to improve profitability of the account
· Marketing:
o Liaise with marketing to implement customer price increase
· 3rd party Customers: assist Sales in presenting financial proprosals either to improve profitability of existing customers or to gain new business
· Full service distributors:
o Develop templates for reporting FSD sales
o Work with the FSD to implement tools to support business growth
· Financial Shared Services: working together to ensure the integrity / accuracy of the financial statements
· Internal & External Auditors: providing information required
· Corporate Control in Utrecht: actual and forecast reporting
VP FPC SLI Foodservice: hierarchical reporting line of line manager. Present monthly Barrel, when deputising for the CFO.
