Job Description
As a VBA/Excel Developer you will join a leading Front Office team where you will become responsible for developing and maintaining their systems whilst sitting alongside TRADERS on the FRONT OFFICE.
You will:
be in the on the Trade Floor working directly with Traders to develop and support their technology needs, taking ownership for the technical integrity of the solutions using VBA/Excel
be working within a CROSS ASSET team
identify and address architectural challenges and enhance the current product range
contribute throughout the development lifecycle; from conceptualizing through to implementing ideas
be working in a high paced atmosphere in the Front Office: so must be outgoing and able to cope with a high pressure atmosphere
must have a hunger and a desire to progress within the financial sector
gain great experience on the Trade Floor
The ideal profile for this position will:
Have a Bachelors or Masters background within Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, or Finance
Be an architect who continually strives to create software of the highest possible quality in regards to performance, reliability and maintainability using VBA/EXCEL
Be prepared to go the extra mile,
Be hungry to succeed
Be a motivated candidate
Be self managing, responsible and a problem solver eager to work in a high paced environment
Your technical background will be:
Skilled VBA/EXCEL developer at a ENTRY/ASSOCIATE level
Have some experience using other languages: C++/C/JAVA
Good Problem Solving skills
