Job Description
As an experienced Developer, with a background in both C++ and EXCEL/VBA you will join an expanding team of FRONT OFFICE architects, working within the FIXED INCOME Derivatives team, where you will become responsible for developing flagship financial models whilst working alongside Traders on the trade floor.
You will:
drive the design and construction of innovative technology solutions and take ownership for the technical integrity of the solution
be working with the traders, on the desk, to understand their needs and develop systems solutions for them.
contribute throughout the full development lifecycle; from conceptualizing through to implementing ideas
identify and address architectural challenges and enhance the current product range
be working in a high paced atmosphere directly working with Front Office Traders in a FIXED INCOME DERIVATIVES team
must have a hunger and a desire to progress within the financial sector
The ideal profile for this position will:
Have a Bachelors or Masters background within Computer Science/Engineering or Mathematics from a top University
Be an architect who continually strives to create software of the highest possible quality in regards to performance, reliability and maintainability
Be prepared to go the extra mile
Be hungry to succeed
Have extensive design experience, either within the Financial district or from within another field of experience
Your technical background will be:
Highly skilled C++ developer with between 2-3 years experience
Have a strong background using EXCEL/VBA
A CFA background would be a real bonus
Have a broad knowledge of other programming languages
Be mathematically minded
