Job Description

 

The client 

This is a first class opportunity to work in the technical department of the financial planning division of a top 10 accountancy practice. You will be working alongside the technical director researching provider’s terms etc for use by the wealth management consultants. 

The Role 

·         Create and maintain Product Panel documents both electronically and in paper form.

·         Provide support to consultants and paraplanners by ensuring the relevant standards and technical appendices – used for preparing suitability reports – are updated and accurate

·         Support Consultants for periodic Client work (mostly investigative).

·         Handle and resolve the day to day queries both relating to new and existing technical matters, liaising between colleagues, product providers and Clients.

·         Communicate with Investment Strategy Group to ensure its product panel materials are accessible, accurate, up to date and easily understood.

·         Analytical and numerical ability – able to analyse and interpret data, evaluate data and make recommendations based on data and market trends.

·         All practices and disciplines including Investments, Corporate Pensions and Financial Planning.

·         Anti Money Laundering, including how to identify suspicious transactions/activities and how to report.

·         Current and future financial legislation and regulation and their developments. 

Required 

·         Minimum Full FPC (Financial Planning Certificate) or equivalent industry qualification.*

·         Studying towards PFS Diploma status or further technical qualifications and/or IMC.

·         Educated to at least A Level/Highers standard. (or equivalent).

·         CF30 (Customer Function) within 6 – 18 months.·         Windows computer packages including Adviser Office (1st Software), Hindsight, Exchange, and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.·         Knowledge of specialist software specific to FPG – Aequos, etc.
