Job Description
With an established and dominant presence on the AIM market, the firm are now focusing on developing broking relationships with senior mid-cap firms listed on the London Stock Exchange.
The Client:
Based in prestigious offices in the City of London, the firm have grown rapidly in the last 10 years, based on a foundation of excellence across their Corporate Finance, Sales & Research divisions. Having gained a significant market share on AIM they are now keen to target the senior Mid-Cap sector, where there is a lack of robust representation from the bulge bracket banks.
The Role:
The Corporate Broking team is charged with the following key activities:
- Acting as the interface between corporate clients and their institutional shareholders.
- All aspects of investor relations inclusive of organising meetings with shareholders and assiting clients with corporate communications to their investors.
- Provision of share register analysis, buyer and seller identification and day-to-day share price and trading monitoring.
- Work closely with both the transactional and advisory services of the Corporate Finance department as well as the institutional stockbroking arm of the business. This ensures that the client is provided with strategic advice as to the stock market's reaction to a transaction or an equity raising initiatives.
- The Corporate Broking team also advises corporate clients on issues relating to the company's share capital and stock market needs; advice on prevailing market trends and the market behaviour of key investors.
The Candidate:
You will be tasked with spear-heading the services described above into the Senior Mid-Cap sector (companies with an annual turnover of £500m+). You will therefore have the following qualities:
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written and the confidence to address large public meetings with impact. You will also have a flair for influencing the decisions of your clients and the gravitas to secure the trust of the company's board.
- Excellent strategic business development skills. You will leverage either your developed network of FTSE listed contacts or have the ability to pro-actively build rewarding relationships with clients.
- A good understanding of the regulatory framework in compliance the listing rules of the FSA, UK Company Law and the Takeover Code.
