Our client is a successful private client investment company. Founded in 1989, they have established a prestigious reputation as a professional money manager. An opportunity has now arisen for a Graduate (or equivalent) to train to become a Private Client Asset Manager.
This is the ideal position for an articulate and numerate Graduate with ambitions in the field of fund management. In this role you will join a supported training programme in order to gain the necessary professional qualifications, as well as gaining operational experience in both the front and back office with a view to qualifying as a Private Client Asset Manager.
As a Trainee Private Client Asset Manager you will learn how to review private client portfolios and take responsibility for ensuring that they continue to meet the agreed mandate, and that holdings are consistent with the Investment Committee's latest view. This involves prioritising and preparing recommendations, presenting recommendations to Asset Managers for approval and sending recommendations to clients.
The company is growing, and this role offers the opportunity to develop and take on more portfolio responsibility and eventually client relationship responsibility.
To succeed as a Trainee Private Client Asset Manager you must have a degree level qualification (or equivalent) and a good level of numeracy. You should also be highly self motivated and confident, ambitious and a self starter. Additionally, you will need excellent Excel skills, creative intelligence and a confident approach.
