Job Description
A fund manager is required for a highly successful, independent, specialist investment management company, based in Kent.
Due to continued business expansion, the firm are looking to enlarge their managed funds team and wish to appoint a managed funds investment manager. The team has seen rapid growth in funds under management and these additional team members will manage discretionary client portfolios and contribute to the generation of investment research.
The objective of the role is to take an active part, as an assistant, in the management of discretionary managed funds portfolios. This will be done by the provision of client monitoring, deal drafting, funds research and analysis, communications with clients and in executing ad hoc client requests.
The successful candidates will ideally be high calibre, numerate, of graduate calibre, with at least the IMC qualification and preferably the IIMR or CFA qualification, or equivalent. Extensive experience in a fund management role is required, and knowledge of bond and equity markets and the ability to analyse funds are also important.
