Job Description

To further reinforce the NAV-Calculation & Accounting team within Fund Services UK, we are looking for an operation administrator to work within this team. 

Fund Services, UK currently administrates 68 products with a net asset value of approx £21 Billion.

It is anticipated that due to further expansion, in both Retail and Institutional business in the very near future, the department will continue to grow.

The main duties of the position are as follows:

  • Unit pricing of Unit Trusts, Life Companies and OEIC's
  • Liaising with various departments and fund managers to resolve fund pricing issues
  • Daily accounting (cash & stocks) reconciliations and postings, including postings related to semi- and year end as well as distribution process.
  • Responding to queries from external and internal sources and providing information when required
  • Rotating with other team members on daily and weekly adhoc tasks that impact on the team
  • Monthly and quarterly tasks that impact on all funds i.e. investing charge reviews, performance tests, investing and borrowing powers monitoring.

 The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a basic grounding in an investment administration function with a numerical bias
  • Have experience in cash and stock reconciliations
  • Possess a sound knowledge of accounting to trial balance level
  • Possess a sound knowledge of Corporate events, Dividends and settlements
  • Have good attention to detail, excellent organisation skills and a high standard of accuracy
  • Be able to work on their own initiative and be self-motivated
  • Be flexible, a team player and prepared to work additional hours
  • Be able to work to strict deadlines and work under pressure
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Previous pricing and accounting experience preferred
